Our medical center consistently performs in the top 10 percent of hospitals for patient quality and satisfaction and has earned the highest rating in the region for quality of care.* This position is onsite* Reporting to the Director of Quality and Accreditation for Oncology, the Cancer Registry Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and supervision of cancer registry staff to meet data submission, reporting, and compliance requirements in support of the goals of the Jupiter Medical Center Cancer Program. * Coordinates the activities of the Jupiter Medical Center Cancer Registry and other departmental activities. * Manages the delivery of high-quality data from case finding and analysis, data abstraction, and database management from clinical databases/sources.* Maintenance of case-finding and suspense lists. * Ensures consistency, accuracy, and adherence to state and federal regulations, good clinical practice and data management.* Responsible for Cancer Registry quality assurance. * Liaison for reporting and database systems. * Supports compliance with CoC and NAPBC standards.* Serves on and provides support to the Cancer Committee and Breast Committee.* Supervises Oncology Data Analysts and provides departmental in-service education.* Responsible for assigned statistical reports and data to staff, physicians, and administration. Requirements* Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field required* Certification as Tumor Registrar (CTR). * Five years of related experience in a hospital-based registry cancer program. * Prior experience must demonstrate a high level of competence and knowledge in cancer registry database management and reporting systems (examples include METRIQ, RQRS, SEER, NCDB, CQUIP, CP3R and FCDS), and all aspects of cancer registration, reporting and compliance: local, state, national and international. * Prior experience supervising registry personnel, including abstractors. * Must have an excellent background in medical terminology. Must have knowledge of disease process, diagnostic methods and procedures, staging, treatment coding, classifying, and index composition of the health record. * Must have data interpretation, statistical and analytical skills. * Working knowledge of CoC and NAPBC standards. * Excellent skills using Microsoft software. * Strong customer service skills working with physicians and staff in a hospital setting and effective verbal, written and graphical communications. * Ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines.
